A Family’s Act of Faith and Unity: Clean Water for Rugga Gbawu Rugga Gbawu, Nigeria – 2024

In 2024, the village of Rugga Gbawu witnessed a transformative act of generosity led by the Taieb
& Co family, together with relatives and close supporters. United by a shared desire to create
meaningful impact in Nigeria—and to seek blessing and healing for a beloved family member—they
came together to fund a major clean water initiative.
The project included the drilling of a borehole and the construction of a central water distribution
facility, bringing sustainable access to clean drinking water closer to surrounding communities. In
addition, the family ensured that every household received large water containers, allowing families
to safely transport and store water at home.
This extended rural area, home to multiple villages from the Fulani community, now benefits from
significantly improved and geographically accessible water infrastructure.
Today, approximately 5,050 people benefit directly from this project.
The inauguration ceremony was marked by music, dancing, and a food distribution dedicated
especially to the widows of the village, offering additional support to vulnerable families.
The total cost of the operation amounted to €13,480.
