Clean Water Program - Global Impact Overview

Clean Water Program – Global Impact Overview Over the years, ChabadAid has developed one of its most significant humanitarian efforts in Nigeria through a growing and far-reaching clean water access program.

The projects currently presented on this site represent only the documented portion of this work –
initiatives for which photo or video materials were available and for which dedicated articles could be prepared. However, these published stories reflect only part of a much broader reality.

Including both the documented projects already featured online and the many earlier initiatives carried out in previous years, ChabadAid has supported close to 50 clean water projects across Nigeria.

Each of these projects was designed not only to provide safe drinking water, but also to create long-term local impact through permanent water distribution structures, improved health conditions, community stability, and, in some cases, wider agricultural development.

With an average cost estimated at approximately EUR 17,000 per project, the overall clean water program represents a total humanitarian investment of roughly EUR 800,000 to EUR 850,000 over time.

In terms of human impact, and based on the average reach of each project, these initiatives have benefited an estimated 100,000 to 150,000 people, and likely more when taking into account broader indirect impact on surrounding populations, agricultural activity, and community
infrastructure.

From Fulani villages in central Nigeria to mixed Muslim and Christian communities, from local synagogue-based access points to large-scale philanthropic and corporate partnerships, this program has become a major pillar of ChabadAid’s humanitarian work.

More than a response to water scarcity, these projects represent a broader vision: water as dignity, water as health, water as coexistence, and water as a foundation for development.

Through this long-term commitment, ChabadAid and its partners have helped transform access to water into a sustainable force for life, resilience, and hope across Nigeria.
