Ten Rabbis, One Mission: Food Relief and Hope During COVID-19

Nigeria – 2021
In 2021, during the difficult period of the COVID-19 pandemic, a delegation of ten Rabbis
from France traveled specially to Nigeria to carry out a major humanitarian support
mission for local communities.
All of them serve as community leaders and directors of different Batei Chabad across
France, and came together with a shared commitment to bring concrete assistance,
encouragement, and solidarity during a time of uncertainty and vulnerability.
Throughout their mission, the delegation carried out numerous humanitarian actions,
including the distribution of food packages and protective kits for young people and
families in need.
They also visited schools that remained open during the pandemic period, offering
encouragement to educational teams, teachers, and children who were continuing their
work despite difficult circumstances.
In total, more than 20,000 people benefited directly and indirectly from these initiatives,
including children, families, teachers, and local educational communities.
Beyond the material support, this mission carried a powerful message of human
responsibility, resilience, and solidarity – showing that even during a global crisis, care
and compassion can cross borders and bring strength to vulnerable populations.
