Water for Growth: Advancing Agriculture and Community Life

Nigeria – 2026
In 2026, agricultural professional Israel Kidron, through the company Onida, brought valuable
expertise to Nigeria by introducing advanced agricultural knowledge and technologies inspired by
Israeli innovation.
Committed not only to offering technical solutions but also to maximizing long-term impact, he
chose to go one step further by financing a borehole that would serve both human and agricultural
needs.
This initiative, carried out in partnership with ChabadAid, now provides clean drinking water to
approximately 2,000 to 3,000 people, while also supplying abundant water for the large-scale
development of agriculture in the surrounding area.
Beyond immediate access to water, the project created the conditions for long-term food
production, improved livelihoods, and greater community self-sufficiency. By linking water access to
agricultural growth, this initiative strengthened both daily life and future economic resilience.
The inauguration was marked by the distribution of food supplies and gifts to support the local
population, turning the event into a meaningful moment of solidarity and hope.
This project stands as a powerful example of how expertise, innovation, and humanitarian
commitment can come together to create sustainable transformation.
