Ramadan Food Support Through Jewish-Muslim Cooperation

Ramadan Food Support Through Jewish-Muslim Cooperation Nigeria – Ramadan 2024
In 2024, following the strong success of previous humanitarian cooperation with Muslim authorities, ChabadAid continued to strengthen its relationship of trust with Muslim institutions across Nigeria. During the month of Ramadan, a new food support program was organized to assist vulnerable Muslim families in need. Part of the distribution was coordinated through the mosque and then extended to dozens of villages across the country.
This initiative was financially supported by the Jewish community through the ChabadAid Foundation, in a spirit of respect, solidarity, and shared responsibility toward the local Muslim population. More than 700 families benefited from the program, receiving essential food assistance during a period deeply associated with compassion, generosity, and care for those facing hardship.
The program was carried out in cooperation with Imam Fuad Adeyemi, Director and Chief Imam of Al-Habibiyyah Academy, whose leadership helped ensure that the assistance reached families in need with dignity and efficiency. This initiative stands as a meaningful example of interfaith partnership in action — demonstrating how Jewish and Muslim communities can work together to support vulnerable families, strengthen coexistence, and build bridges of trust across Nigeria.
