Hope Center, Nigeria – Multisport Development Program
At the heart of Hope Center, a specialized school serving children with Down syndrome, a new inclusive multisport center was built to create a safe, joyful, and accessible space for children of all abilities.
The project was designed with a special focus on accessibility for children with disabilities, while also opening the space to young people from surrounding communities. Its purpose was to bring different worlds together through sport — allowing children with special needs and local youth to meet, play, interact, and grow side by side.
This initiative was made possible through the vision and generosity of donor Ran Arel and Stamford, in collaboration with RCC, HPI, and with additional support from Les Rois du Monde.
The construction work lasted approximately two years, resulting in a beautiful multisport facility adapted to the needs of the children and the wider community.
The photo documentation of the project shows powerful moments from the inauguration, attended by religious and political officials, alongside dozens of children with Down syndrome whose joy reflected the true meaning of the initiative.
With a total cost of approximately €81,000, this project created more than a sports facility. It created a place of inclusion, dignity, friendship, and hope.
By using sport as a bridge between communities, the center gives children with disabilities a space where they can be seen, valued, and included — while giving other young people the opportunity to learn respect, compassion, and shared humanity through play.
