From Texas to Nigeria: A Corporate Commitment to Clean Water
Badakiri, Nigeria – 2024
After discovering ChabadAid’s humanitarian work online, the Texas-based American company
Mushi & Co reached out with a clear and generous intention: to fully fund a clean water initiative for
a rural Nigerian community.
Founded by a family business that designs baby accessories, the company’s owners were deeply
moved by the impact of our actions shared online. Without ever traveling to Nigeria, they placed
their trust in our mission and entirely financed the drilling of a borehole and the construction of a
water distribution system in the village of Badakiri.
Today, approximately 1,480 people benefit from sustainable access to clean drinking water as a
result of this initiative—dramatically improving health conditions and daily life for families in the
region.
Beyond this project, Mushi & Co continues to support ChabadAid every year, particularly during the
holy month of Ramadan, funding food distributions and humanitarian assistance for vulnerable
families in surrounding communities.
This project stands as a powerful example of how compassion can cross continents—transforming
a connection made online into concrete, life-changing impact on the ground.
The total budget for the project amounted to €16,900.
