Business Growth with Purpose: Clean Water for Sumi Sumi, Nigeria – 2025

In 2025, the Israeli company IES, which develops medical programs in Nigeria, chose to align its business expansion with a meaningful humanitarian commitment. As IES strengthened its medical presence in the country, the company’s CEO decided to finance a borehole and clean water access project for the community of Sumi, ensuring that business growth would also translate into tangible social impact.

The project now provides sustainable access to clean drinking water for local families, improving health conditions, daily living standards, and long-term community resilience. To mark this initiative, the CEO brought his son—an enthusiastic football lover—to Nigeria to witness the project firsthand. The visit became both a family milestone and a powerful lesson in social responsibility. In addition to the water infrastructure, football equipment and sports accessories were distributed directly to children in the village, creating a joyful and memorable moment of connection. The total budget for the project amounted to €8,400.
