Technology, Relief, and Daily Support: A Major Humanitarian Logistics Partnership

Nigeria – 2023 to 2026
In partnership with We Connect and the philanthropist Mr. Moshe Gorst, ChabadAid has
developed a major humanitarian logistics program in Nigeria based on the regular
shipment of containers filled with essential technological and electronic equipment.
Between 2023 and 2026, this collaboration enabled the delivery of approximately nine
large containers, representing an estimated total value of EUR 2.7 million in donated
equipment and transport costs.
Each shipment brought urgently needed materials to Nigeria, including computer
equipment, electronic accessories, solar panels, printers, and air purification machines.
These supplies were then redistributed to local communities, schools, hospitals, and
vulnerable families according to pressing humanitarian needs on the ground.
The impact of these deliveries has been wide-ranging. Some of the donated computer
equipment has supported digital learning and access to technology, while other items –
such as phone accessories distributed in large quantities – provided useful daily support
and meaningful gifts to local beneficiaries.
One especially significant shipment included a large container of printers, which were
donated to schools and hospitals, strengthening education, communication, and
administrative capacity in key institutions.
In addition, hundreds of air purification machines were distributed to help communities
cope with seasonal air pollution, particularly during the Ramadan period, when Nigeria is
often affected by dense dust carried from the Sahara. These machines helped improve
indoor air quality and provide healthier breathing conditions for vulnerable populations.
More recently, the partnership also enabled the shipment of thousands of solar panels,
opening new possibilities for energy access, resilience, and sustainable development.
This long-term collaboration reflects a broader humanitarian vision: using logistics,
technology, and practical tools not only to meet immediate needs, but also to strengthen
education, health, resilience, and daily life across Nigeria.
